The European Commission says it’s focusing on taking the positives from Donald Trump’s new tariffs.
The 15% charges on most EU goods heading to America took effect this morning.
The EU says the terms of the deal mean a cap of 15% on pharmaceuticals – but Donald Trump is threatening 250% tariffs on the sector.
Commission Spokesman Olof Gill, native of Clare Island, says the task now is making the deal work:
