The people of Newport have been waiting for far too long for their water treatment plant. That’s the view of Keira Keogh TD (FG).
In 2014, Uisce Eireann inherited fifty sites that did not have treated discharge. Since then, they have developed plants on a number of these sites, but some such as Newport remain without treated discharge.
