The National Transport Authority have thrown Mayo County Council under the bus surrounding the Newport Bus Stop fiasco.
That’s the view of Fianna Fail councillor Brendan Mulroy who raised the matter at yesterday’s local authority meeting demanding who was responsible for erecting bus stops at a dangerous street corner in Newport.
There was dismay last week following the installation of the signs at the bottom of George’s Street in the town.
Cllr. Mulroy has accused the NTA of attempting to throw Mayo County Council under the bus and not to take responsibility for the erection of the bus stop signs.
He has been giving more details to Midwest News.
