A new temporary three euro customs charge on parcels worth less than 150 euro, comes into effect in July next year from countries outside the EU.
The fee will affect imports from online companies such as Shein and Temu, to tackle the problem of ultra fast fashion.
However, the charge could be increased by EU member states if the 3 euro doesn’t prove effective in halting imports from China.
