Two well-known Mayo GAA journalists are set to release a new book documenting the county’s historic All-Ireland triumph in 2026.
Edwin McGreal and Anthony Hennigan have teamed up for Never Stop Dreaming, which charts Mayo’s journey from the early stages of the season through to their memorable All-Ireland final victory over Kerry.
Both authors have reported on Mayo in ten All-Ireland finals and followed the team throughout this year’s campaign, speaking to players and supporters and capturing the mood around the county as the team finally ended a 75-year wait for the Sam Maguire Cup.
The book also looks beyond the football, documenting the celebrations and the sense of togetherness among Mayo people at home and around the world.
It features photographs from award-winning Mayo photographer Michael McLaughlin, alongside match images from Inpho.
Published by Mayo Books Press, the book is due for release in October and is available to pre-order now.
It will also support the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation’s Sunflower Children’s Hospice project in Castlebar.
