The N5 dual carriageway between Westport and Castlerbar is closed to traffic at present due to a road traffic collision.
The emergency services are attending the scene.
It’s understood it’s a single vehicle collision involving a lorry.
However, the N5 dual carriageway in the opposite direction – Castlebar to Westport remains open to traffic.
Gardai are advising traffic coming out of Westport travelling to Castlebar to take an alternative route at present. The old Westport to Castlebar road is open to traffic.
