Mayo Mountain Rescue were tasked yesterday evening to assist a woman on Croagh Patrick.
At around 7pm, they received a call from An Garda Siochana about a woman who had been climbing the mountain with her daughter and then became unwell and couldn’t continue.
The Mayo Mountain Rescue first response team located the woman on the track, approximately 10 minutes from the car park.
They provided immediate emergency care and, after a brief rest, the team helped her safely walk back to the car park.
The team were then stood down around 8:15pm.
