Minister of State Alan Dillon visits Clare Island today, to officially open the island’s brand new changing facilities at the local sports ground.
This will mark an historic milestone for the community and its proud GAA tradition.
The celebrations get underway from 12:00pm, with ladies’ and mens’ football matches taking place before Minister Dillon performs the official opening ceremony at 2:00pm.
Speaking ahead of the event, Minister Dillon said that the “facilities are a testament to the hard work and spirit of everyone involved in Clare Island GAA, a club that continues to punch above its weight both on and off the field”.
