A Mayo woman has warned that health and safety in the workplace not be taken for granted, following the death of her son eight years ago.
Lorcan Deasy died from brain injuries in 2018 after falling while working at a height during a building refurbishment in Kiltimagh.
Figures from the Health and Safety Authority show that 58 people died in work-related incidents in Ireland last year, marking a 61% increase in workplace fatalities compared to 2024.
