A Mayo TD has welcomed plans to bring in stricter rules on social media for children.
The EU Kids Act will be published tomorrow, with restrictions to be brought in for those under 18.
It will include a ban for anyone under 13, with safe design features to be rolled out for those aged 15 to 18.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen discussed the plans in a speech in Strasbourg today.
