A castlebar based photographer Julia Dunin has been highly commended at the World Food Photography Awards.
She recieved special recognition for her photo in the unearthed Food for Sale category for her capture of a chicken vendor in Kolkata, India.
Over 9,000 photos were entered across more than 50 different countries.
There were two more Irish winners in the awards, Al Higgins from Dublin was awarded second place in the World of Drinks section, while Kirsty Lyons of Limerick was Highly Commended in the Fortnum & Mason Food at the Table category.
The winners of the competition’s 27 categories were revealed at the Mall Galleries, London, on Tuesday June 2nd at an awards evening gathering stars of the food and arts worlds.
