23 different projects across Mayo are set to receive over €600,000 in funding from the Community Climate Action Programme.

The funding is provided to community groups that contribute to national climate and energy targets such as community gardens, the installation of renewable energy systems, or rainwater harvesting systems.

In Mayo, some projects being allocated funding include over €95,000 for Moy Davitts GAA Club for an integrated upgrade to cut electricity use and embed circularity and active travel across the club while Tooreen Hurling Club will receive €73,000 for a multi-theme project combining clean energy, circular practices, biodiversity, water efficiency, and active travel.
