A Mayo Sinn Fein Deputy believes ordinary households cannot continue to carry the burden of she calls ‘Ireland’s energy rip-off’.

Rose Conway-Walsh has pointed out that Ireland’s electricity prices are 40% higher than the EU average.

She insists that now is the time for action and not to leave the issue until the latter stages of the year.
