Dooega Clean Coasts have won an award at the annual Ocean Hero Awards Ceremony, announced by An Taisce’s Clean Coasts Programme.
The awards highlight the contributions of Clean Coasts volunteers, today commending 45 groups and individuals nationwide.
Mayo’s Dooega Clean Coasts, which was established last year with 4 volunteers and now has over 20 active members, won in the Emerging Group Category.
Multiple other Mayo-based groups were shortlisted for various awards, including Keep Our Beaches Clean, Belmullet Tidy Towns, and the Achill’s Biggest Beach Clean event.
