Around 400 applications a month are being made for the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant.
Just under 1,350 people had drawn down money by the end of 2024.
However, a total of 7,700 had been approved by that point with the Government expecting up to 2,500 further drawdowns this year.
The highest number of drawdowns has been in Co Donegal – followed by counties Cork and Mayo.
The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
