A man is due to appear court today in Sligo charged in connection with the death of another man in Killybegs.
Eddie Friel, who was in his 60s, was found dead in his home at Harbour View Drive in the town on Sunday afternoon.
James Spendley, 57, with an address of St Cummin’s Hill, Killybegs already appeared before Carrick-on-Shannon District Court yesterday.
He has been charged with assault causing serious harm to the late Mr. Friel.
The judge remanded him in custody to appear before Sligo District Court by video link today.
