A man in his 40s will appear in court today, charged in connection with the seizure of two firearms and ammunition at a residence in Ballinasloe, County Galway yesterday.
Gardaí conducted a search operation early yesterday at Woodlawn yesterday, as part of an ongoing operation targeting criminal activity in the Galway Division.
Two firearms, ammunition and a cocaine press were seized. The firearms have been sent for technical examination by the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau.
The arrested man will appear before Loughrea District Court today at approximately 10:30am.
