Gardaà in county Leitrim are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in the county yesterday.
The single vehicle collision, involving a tractor  occurred on the L3355 near Mullaghycullen, Drumcong, Co. Leitrim yesterday (Sunday).
Shortly before 11:00pm last night, Gardaà and emergency services responded to the collision.
The male driver (aged in his 60s) was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
The man’s body was removed to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The local coroner has been notified.
The road remains closed and the scene will be examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaà are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
