A man in his 60s has died in a two car crash in County Westmeath.
He was driving one of the cars that collided on the N55 at the Pigeons at around 11:00am yesterday morning.
His body has been brought to the mortuary at Tullamore Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The passenger in his car and the driver of the second car – both in their 80s, are being treated for non-life threatening injuries at the same hospital.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
An incident involving two vehicles occurred in Collooney late yesterday afternoon.
