Man airlifted to UHG following fatal collision yesterday

A man was yesterday airlifted to University Hospital Galway following a serious road traffic collision in County Donegal.

Gardaí attended the scene of an incident involving a car and two pedestrians in Letterkenny on St. Patrick’s Day.

A male pedestrian in his 60s sustained serious injuries, and sadly passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital.

The second pedestrian, also a male in his 60s, was airlifted to University Hospital Galway where he continues to receive medical treatment for serious injuries.

Gardaí, meanwhile, are continuing their investigation and ask for anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time of the incident, between 2:30am and 3:30am, and may have any camera or dash cam footage, is asked to come forward.
