The Systra team, Galway County Council’s Transportation Planning and Design Consultant , at present assessing traffic solutions for the busy town of Headford are over the next number of days making site visits and surveys to the area in an effort to complete this phase of the protracted project.
It’s all part of the Community Transport Study for Headford looking at public transport, schools, active travel, road safety, and parking.
Galway County Council hopes to release the study’s findings for public consultation in the next three months.
Local Fine Gael councillor Andrew Reddington is encouraging everyone to stay engaged and contribute to the study, however, he accepts the entire process is extremely slow in delivering actual changes.
