Last year was the fourth warmest on record in Ireland.
New data from Met Eireann shows seven of the ten warmest years have occurred since 2005, with the highest temperature in 2024 recorded as 26.6 degrees Celsius on June 24th at the Phoenix Park.
The lowest temperature last year was minus 7.3 degrees Celsius on January 18th in Athenry.
Seven storms impacted the country in 2024, with Storm Darragh bringing the strongest winds of the year, while most weather stations recorded below-average annual rainfall levels.
