Low income homes worst affected by new energy increases

Energy price increases are placing a burden on low income households, while high income households are hardly affected.

That’s according to a new report from the ESRI, which shows the cost on households have been reduced by recent government measures, but have not gone away.

It found those in the low income bracket are spending more of their money on home heating and motor fuel.
