The Government have let down the people of the West & North West following Storm Éowyn.
That’s the view of Sinn Féin TD for Roscommon/Galway Claire Kerrane who told Ministers this week, they were 12 days too late, returning as the vast majority of homes are reconnected and for many, the outages are over.
Deputy Kerrane says the Dáil should have been recalled a week earlier and says she listened to the anger, the anguish and the pain felt by the people she represents.
She says it took 8 days for the Government to announce they’d cover accommodation costs and even though it took 8 days they still managed to get it wrong.
