One of the organisers behind last weekend’s anti mercosur protest in Athlone says over 27,000 people came out in force on the day.
MEP for this region Ciaran Mullooly says the message was clear from those in attendance.
He also confirmed major developments at European level, including fresh political pressure in Strasbourg.
MEP Mullooly says there will be another vote of no confidence in the von der Leyen Commission next week in Strasbourg.
He added that this will be the fourth motion of no confidence in von der Leyen or her Commission since he joined the European Parliament.
That issue will probably be debated on Monday, and it’s expected a vote will take place on Thursday next week.
