Investigation underway into explosion at Castlebar restaurant last night

Two people were injured in what is believed to have been a gas explosion at an Indian restaurant in Castlebar, this evening (Sunday).
The injuries sustained are not believed to be life threatening but the injured have been transferred to Mayo University Hospital for treatment.
The blast at the Tulsi Indian Restaurant at Lower Charles Street occurred around 8.30pm.
Neighbouring residents reported hearing a loud blast from the explosion which damaged the roof of the affected building.
Those injured are believed to be employees of the restaurant
