An inquest into the death of a cyclist in Sligo in 2023 was yesterday adjourned at Sligo’s Coroners Court.
On December 23 2023, Maurice Rice, of Rathanna, Sligo, sustained serious injuries during a road traffic collision on the Pearse Road, Sligo.
He was found in the cycle lane, and brought to Sligo University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Mr. Rice was aged in his 50s.
A hearing took place yesterday, where his family sought full access to a forensic collision examination report.
An adjournment was granted following the request, and the inquest is set to resume in April.
