Increased energy grants expected

Homeowners are set to benefit from increased grants for energy upgrades under new plans expected from Climate Minister Darragh O’Brien.

The changes include higher payments for attic insulation, improved heat pump grants, and new support for windows and doors – all aimed at cutting energy bills and making retrofitting more affordable.

The Sunday Independent reports 550 million euro has been allocated to the scheme, with around 65-thousand households expected to benefit this year.
