Something needs to be done immediately to address the decline in business in the West Mayo town of Louisburgh.
That’s the strong view of Westport based Fine Gael councillor Peter Flynn.
Over the past two decades five hotels in the area have closed, and by the end of the month, the last butcher shop in the town will be closed.
The cllr raised the matter at a recent meeting of the West Mayo Municipal District.
