House prices in Connacht increase by 11.5%

The asking price for a house in Connacht has increased by an average of 11.5% when compared to this time last year.

MyHome.ie’s national median asking price report for Q3 2025 shows four Connacht counties in the top five counties where prices have increased.

While the report shows that the pace of growth in asking prices for houses and apartments appears to be ‘softening’, Monaghan is the only county where the price has decreased, down 4.76% to €200,000.

The highest percentage increase nationally was in County Roscommon, where the asking price of a house is now €212,500, up 14.86%.

Mayo prices have increased by a median average of 12.82% to €220,000, the second highest nationally, with Westmeath increasing 12.01% to €280,000.

Sligo is fourth in the list with an increase of 10.55% to €220,000, with Leitrim houses up 10.03% to €198,000.

Galway’s increase of 9.23% brings the asking price to €355,000, the most expensive county to buy a house in outside of Dublin, where the asking price as increased by 5.43% to €369,000.

As of September 30 2025, there are 13,000 listings for houses and apartments across the country.
