The Minister for Health is being urged to review the feasibility of increasing workloads for consultant staff in Hospitals at weekends.
The call comes following the INMO annual meeting in Killarney Co.Kerry, where Doctors have been discussing staffing, bed capacity and funding.
The conference heard that up to 10 percent of healthcare workers along with consultants could be rostered at weekends, to improve overall services.
