The Irish Road Haulage Association has sent a letter to all Councillors, calling on their local authorities to pass motions of no confidence in the RSA.
They are making the plea in the context of the 185 people who lost their lives on Irish roads in 2025, and four already in 2026.
They also said that reforms which have been recommended to be implemented are not being done, and that the increasing number of learner permit holders on the roads are a danger.
