The Government’s U turn on short term lets shows its ignorance of the rural housing crisis according to the Green Party.
It’s hit out at the decision to restrict Airbnb and similar type properties in towns and cities with a population of more than 20 thousand people.
Initially the restriction was set to cover areas with a population of 10 thousand with only 24 towns and cities coming under the new proposals.
Green Party leader Roderic O’Gorman says many parts of the country will see no benefit at all.
