The Cabinet will meet tomorrow to approve a further delay to the auto-enrolment pension scheme until January.
Social Protection Minister Dara Calleary is expected to tell colleagues more time is needed to develop the complex system, which was due to come into effect on September 30th.
Sinn Féin says the scheme has been promised for the last 20 years, and further delays are unacceptable.
The party’s Enterprise Spokesperson, Louise O’Reilly, says the government needs to make it a reality.
