Ballina based Fine Gael Senator confirmed to Midwest News this afternoon that Irish Rail had confirmed to him that it is putting on a special additional train from Ballina to Dublin this Sunday.
Ticket sales went live just after 4pm this afternoon for a 9.15am train from Ballina to Heuston on Sunday morning and returning 7.45 pm on Sunday evening, to assist Mayo supporters travelling to Croke Park for Sunday’s All Ireland Football Championship final against Kerry.
It’s anticipated that tickets for that train will sell out quickly.
