Galway RTC victim to be laid to rest today

A 22 year old man who died following a collision in County Galway earlier this week will be laid to rest today.

Evan Kilmartin, from Inverin, County Galway, was involved in a three car collision on the R336 between Barna and Furbo on Sunday night last at around 11:30pm.

An investigation into the fatal collision is ongoing, and Gardaí are asking anyone who was travelling in the area at the time of the incident to please make any footage available.

Evan Kilmartin was well known in his local area, as a bar manager at the Connemara Coast Hotel. He was an aspiring DJ and events manager, with many tributes paid to him this week on social media.

Mr. Kilmartin will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family; parents Séamus and Angela, brothers Shane and Séamus Óg, sister Cliona, extended family and large circle of friends.

He will be laid to rest this afternoon, following funeral mass Funeral Mass at 12 noon in Knock Church, Inverin.
