The Police watchdog in the UK says the man shot dead by officers at Milton Keynes station was carrying a knife, but was not armed with a gun.
38-year-old David Joyce – who was originally from Galway – charged at officers, before he was shot in the chest at the beginning of the month.
The IOPC says a call made to police where they were told a man ‘with a gun’ was going to do ‘something bad’ has been linked to Mr. Joyce himself.
Anglers with bookings affected by the closure will be contacted by IFI.
