Funding has been agreed for a programme of works on a car park in Westport where a concrete block went through the front window of a hair salon.
A car hit a concrete block which smashed into LS Hair on Upper Mill Street in Westport.
13 people were left unemployed as a result of the incident.
Following a meeting of the Westport / Belmullet Municipal District yesterday, funding has been secured to upgrade both Mill Street and James Street car parks in the town.
No injuries were reported in last week’s incident in Mill Street but staff were left traumatised.
The Staff at LS Hair will return to work later this week.
