Full scale forensic exam continuing in Tuam

The full scale forensic examination is continuing at a site in Tuam in Co. Galway for the remains of hundred of babies buried at a mother and baby home.

Four infants coffins were recovered yesterday bringing to a total of 11 found so far.

The work which began in July is expected to continue for an estimated 24 months.

Journalist, Alison O’Reilly, with the Irish Examiner says it’s the first ever mass exhumation in Ireland. where 796 children died.
