Funeral details have been announced for the woman who died following a road traffic collision in Frenchpark on Thursday.
Kitty Lavin, aged in her 80’s, died following the incident involving a pedestrian and a truck at the junction of the N5 and R361 at approximately 4:45pm on Thursday afternoon.
There were no other injuries reported.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 4:30pm and 5:00pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

Kitty will be sadly missed by her sons Pat and Gerry, daughter Martina Langan, extended family and many friends.
She will repose at the Sharkey Funeral Home, Frenchpark tomorrow (Sunday) evening from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Removal from her home on Monday morning to St. Asicus’ Curch, Frenchpark for Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00am. Burial afterwards in Cloonshanville Cemetery.
