Almost 31,000 euro has been collected to date, for the 2025 Voyage4Elaine – Mayo to Dublin.

Brothers James and Oisin Tolan, earlier this week, completed a 220 km from Foxford to Dublin in memory of their late mother Elaine Tolan (nee Neary) from Foxford.

The effort was all in aid of Motor Neuron Disease (MND).

Elaine lived with Motor Neurone Disease for eight years.

Her family – husband Pearse, and children Ellen, James, Catherine and Oisin have for the second successive year, in Elaine’s memory raised funds and awareness for those still battling with the disease.

MND still has no known cause or cure and needs more funding. The 4-day run, setting out from Foxford in county Mayo to Castleknock in Dublin, was about standing with families who live the reality.

All donations from the 4 days run will go directly to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) to fund care, equipment and research.

Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so until Friday week, September 12th.
