A man has been arrested following the seizure of two firearms along with ammunition at a residence in Ballinasloe, Count Galway earlier today.
A search operation at Woodlawn was part of an ongoing operation targeting criminal activity in the Galway Division and surrounding areas.
Gardaí also recovered a cocaine press.
The firearms, meanwhile, have been forwarded for a technical examination by the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau.
The arrested man, aged in his 40s, is currently being detailed at a station in the Garda North Western Region under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
Investigations are ongoing.
