Fine Gael & Sinn Fein tied in opinion poll

Fine Gael and Sinn Fein are neck on neck in the latest opinion poll.

Today’s Sunday Independent / Ireland Thinks poll shows woes for Fianna Fail.

Support for Sinn Fein has risen by one to 21 per cent alongside Fine Gael which is also on 21.

However, backing for Fianna Fail has dropped by two points to 20 per cent.

Meanwhile, the party leader and Taoiseach Micheál Martin’s approval rating is also down – he’s on 43 pc, down one point on last month’s poll but still remains the most popular leader in the country.

Support for Fine Gael leader and Tánaiste Simon Harris has bounced back, up three points to 39 per cent, while Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald has dropped one point to 34pc.
