Failure to protect rural communities, says Senator

A Sligo Senator has criticised the level of government investment in renewable energy in light of increased costs of fuel.

Protests against the government’s response to the rising cost of fuel have wound down, following days of demonstrations including blockades at fuel ports in Galway and Limerick and the country’s only oil refinery in Cork.
