Glór na nÓg Childcare in Aghamore has received a major funding boost, with €245,000 sanctioned from the Department of Children, Equality and Disability Building Blocks Extension Grant Scheme.
Announced by Minister Dara Calleary this morning, the allocation will allow for capital works to be undertaken at the facility, increasing capacity for families across the parish.
Established in 2008, Glór na nÓg provides the locality with numerous resources such as a Creche, ECCE/ Preschool, Afterschool and Breakfast Club services.
Minister Calleary has paid tribute to the management and staff of Glór na nÓg, saying that the new investment will “allow the service to grow and expand to meet the changing needs of the community”.
