Gardaí have seized suspected cannabis with an estimated value of €233,000 during searches of two homes in Galway.
The searches were carried out by the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs.
Cannabis worth around €122,000 was seized during a search of a property in Roscam, while a second search in the Castlepark area resulted in a further seizure valued at approximately €111,000.
Two men, one in his 40s and the other in his 50s, have been arrested.
They are being detained at Garda stations in the North Western Region under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.
The seized substances will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis, with investigations continuing.
