Gardaà from the Mayo Roscommon Longford Drugs Unit in Mayo conducted an operation in Westport throughout the St. Patrick’s weekend.
A number of premises were searched under warrant and during the course of the operation several seizures of Cocaine, Cannabis and MDMA were made.
This vehicle was also stopped and following a search, eight deals of suspected cocaine were recovered concealed in a cigarette box.
In a post on the An Garda Siochana Mayo facebook page they say cocaine does not come with a warning label attached, but of course it is every bit as deadly and can result in impaired decision making, intoxicated driving, debt and drug related intimidation.
Drug seizures like this help to protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the criminality associated with it.
