The death has occurred of Frank Fleming, a former Mayo footballer, who had been a cornerstone of the Mayo Association in Dublin for over half a century.
Frank, a native of Claremorris, passed away in the Mater Hospital on Tuesday.
He played for the Mayo senior team in 1952, a year after the county won its last All-Ireland final in 1951.
He was predeceased by Kay, his wife of 64 years, and his brother, John and is survived by his five children and extended family.
His remains are to be cremated tomorrow (Friday) in Glasnevin Crematorium following Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church, Clontarf.
In online tributes he is being remembered as a proud Mayoman who will be forever loved and missed.
