Legislation that will introduce significant changes to the rental market is due to be voted on by TDs tonight.
Opposition parties say today is the final time they can put an end to incoming changes to the rental market.
The Government will push the Residential Tenancies Bill through the final debate stages tonight before moving to the Seanad tomorrow.
Under the Bill, landlords will be able to increase rent by a maximum of two per cent, or by the rate of inflation, whichever is lower.
Five hours have been set aside to debate the legislation in the Dáil.
