The Dáil is set to vote against a bill seeking to ban hare coursing tonight.

The Animal Health and Welfare (Ban on Hare Coursing) Bill 2020 was introduced by People Before Profit.

There had been calls for a free vote on the matter, but the cabinet last week decided that the coalition should vote against the bill.

Since the proposing of the bill, multiple Fianna Fáil politicians speaking to various media outlets, both publicly and privately, expressed their dissatisfaction at being whipped to vote against the ban.
